Year 11 Work Experience

Year 11 Modern Work Experience Programme – 13th April to 8 May 2026

We are pleased to inform you that our Year 11 students will be taking part in a three-week Modern Work Experience Programme, which will run from Monday 13th April 2026 until Friday 8th May 2026. The programme will take place at our Plaistow site, E13 9AL. This initiative has been carefully designed to provide students with meaningful, hands-on experience that develops practical skills, teamwork, responsibility, and employability. It reflects the principles of modern work experience by combining real-life vocational tasks with continued academic learning and structured careers guidance.

Programme Structure Each day will be structured as follows:

Morning: English and Maths lessons to ensure students continue to develop and strengthen their core skills in preparation for their upcoming examinations.
Afternoon: Participation in the Modern Work Experience programme.

On-Site Work Experience Activities During the afternoon sessions, students will engage in supervised practical activities, including:

General maintenance
Painting and decorating
Litter picking and site cleanliness
Window cleaning
Gardening
Ground maintenance
