About Us
Community Links Academy Trust is a single-academy trust, set up in 2012 and operates an alternative provision, known as Education Links for young people aged between 11 and 16 years. The Trust grew from the education work of Newham-based charity to Community Links Trust Limited, and became completely independent from the charity in 2014.
Education Links operates over two physical sites as an Alternative Provision Free School (Academy) and SEND Provision, located in Newham, London. The principal objective of the academy is to provide alternative education for pupils referred by mainstream schools or local authorities, leading to those pupils being reintegrated into mainstream education; supported to further education or training, gaining appropriate accreditation.
Welcome from our Principal
Taking on the role of Leading Education Links is not simply a job title, but rather a privilege and an honour that brings deep satisfaction to each day. Witnessing the personal triumphs of our students serves as a continual affirmation of the importance of our efforts. Our team, composed of dedicated professionals, consistently goes above and beyond to nurture and guide these emerging minds towards their fullest potential. Acknowledging that each student embarks on their educational journey with a unique starting point and a variety of challenges, we maintain unwaveringly high aspirations for every individual within our care.
What sets Education Links apart is our steadfast commitment to crafting tailored pathways and providing personalised mentoring to each student. Our dedication goes beyond mere instruction; we invest in the holistic development of every person under our guidance. The essence of my role stems from witnessing these young individuals leave us, equipped and empowered for the subsequent stages of their academic journey.
Over the years, the feedback we've received from students stands as a testament to the nurturing and empathetic environment we foster. Our curriculum is carefully designed to be inclusive, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to thrive. However, our mission extends beyond academic pursuits; we cultivate deep connections with the families of our students, recognising their vital role in our collective achievements.
We firmly believe that a good education encompasses more than just excellent exam grades, which is why we are dedicated to providing an Education with Character. This means that in everything we do – both inside and outside the classroom – we aim to nurture essential skills crucial for life beyond school, such as teamwork, resilience, creativity, public speaking, enterprise, and some of the finest sports interventions in the country.
I staunchly uphold the belief that Education Links transcends the boundaries of a mere educational institution; it embodies a community; a cohesive network of students, families, staff, and governing bodies united in our shared pursuit of unlocking the latent potential inherent within each individual. Together, we celebrate every achievement, no matter how modest, aware that behind every success story lies a dedicated group of individuals who have contributed to shaping a brighter future.
